Taxonomic remark Ichnogenus (fossil insect traces). Bown & Ratcliffe, 1988 interpreted this genus as the fossil nests of a mud-dauber (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae), however according to Genise, 2017, they are considered dung beetle pupation chambers. [details]
