Taxonomic remark Inter-generic hybrid (Woodsia R.Br., 1810 × Physematium Kaulf., 1829). Plants of the World Online (2024 version) treats Physematium as a syn. of Woodsia based on a 2018 catalogue, hence synonymises this hybrid with Woodsia as well, however Woodsia and Physematium are recognised as distinct genera by Lu et al., 2020, presently followed in IRMNG.
