Descriptive info From Genise, 2016: Trace fossils composed of isolated or clustered, spherical, pear-shaped, ellipsoid or ovoid chambers, surrounded by a discrete thick lining, which is easily removable from the matrix. [details]
Taxonomic remark Ichnofamily (chambered trace fossils, largely but not exclusively produced by dung beetles), refer Laza, 2006. Assigned to Coleoptera (presumed makers) in e.g. Bouchard et al., 2011, however treated under Trace Fossils in IRMNG at this time. At least one genus (Teisseirei) has subsequently been attributed to the work of moths, refer Genise et al., 2013. [details]
