Taxonomic remark family not listed in AlgaeBase (2020 version) who place Chrysotila in Syracosphaeraceae, however Andersen et al., 2014, re-investigated Chrysotila and showed that it does not group with Syracosphaera but instead forms its own grouping closer to Hymenomonas and Coccoccithus ("Coccolithales" in their treatment), thus this family may require reinstatement at some point.
