Taxonomic remark As Dorsennidium (Quadranidium) (Nomen. Zool.). Listed as a [zoological] subgenus in Neave, which under the zoological Code would render this name available for use at genus level if deisired, however acritarchs are treated under the botanical Code (confirmed for this genus in the original publication), which does not consider names established as subgenera available for re-use at generic level without a separate nomenclatural act (formal re-ranking, with new authorship and publication details).
