Taxonomic remark Originally as a subgenus of Scolia. Authority given in Nomenclator Zoologicus as Lepeletier de St. Fargeau in Guérin-Ménéville, 1838 (following statement in Guérin-Ménéville, 1838), however Lepeletier de St. Fargeau's work was a manuscript only thus the name should be credited to Guérin-Ménéville, refer Bequaert, 1926.
