Taxonomic remark Suppressed for priority but not for homonymy, refer ICZN Opinion 1425. From WoRMS: placed in the annelids by de Serres, and in the Neave; however, its "species" in reality are sort of collective taxa, genera-like, and more likely belong to the gastropod Vermetidae. Tentatively synonymised with Spirorbis Daudin, 1800 by Hartman (1959). IRMNG presently follows WoRMS in placing this genus name in Annelida. [details]
