Taxonomic remark Colonial and constructed of tight bunches of thin-walled oval to spherical cells, treated as Chlorophyta incertae sedis in Wainman et al., 2018, although similarities have also been suggested to egg-balls of planktonic crustaceans, or balls of fungal spores (discussed further in that reference). Included in Nomenclator Zoologicus, as a possible ciliate. Treated as fossil fungal spores in Saxena et al., 2021. [details]
