Taxonomic remark Ruggiero et al., 2015 treat this order under the name Teuthida, as does ITIS (2023 version). WoRMS/MolluscaBase (2023) deprecate Teuthida (sic) as an order, stating that it "includes [Myopsida + Oegopsida] which are not demonstrated to form a clade", instead treating Myopsida and Oegopsida as separate orders within superorder Decapodiformes, along with Bathyteuthida, Sepiida and more. IRMNG mollusc classification will probably be updated to follow that in WoRMS in due course. [details]
