Taxonomic remark Junior homonym of Ornatisporites E. Nagy, 1963 (fossil spores); a synonym of Monoporisporites T. van der Hammen, 1954 according to Saxena et al., 2021. Saxena et al. mention another instance of Ornatisporites, Ornatisporites Górecka 1969; Górecka described a new species (O. sudeticus) in 1969 according to Palynodata, but is it not clear that s/he erected a new genus.
