Taxonomic remark See Laevicalvatella Patterson 1989 (Nomen. Zool.). Barnardina was originally described by Haynes (1981) as a nomen nudum (type species not described), also a junior homonym of Barnardina Kalantari, 1970; subsequently validated by Taylor, Patterson and Choi,1985 and cited thus as valid in Loeblich & Tappan, 1987 although still a junior homonym; replacement name Laevicalvatella Patterson, 1989 is the valid name, refer Haman, 1992, [details]
