Taxonomic remark Originally described as mollusc, now recognised as a caddisfly shell. Cf. Thelidomus Swainson, 1840, same work (earlier page), a mollusc in fam. Camaenidae. Nomenclator Zoologicus treats these two genus name instances as separate, however the caddisfly shell greatly resembles a mollusc and Swainson treated it as such. [details]
