Taxonomic remark A homotypic synonym of Kallymenia J.G. Agardh 1842 according to Index Nominum Genericorum. Introduced by Kützing as a replacement name for Kallymenia, later stated to be too similar to "Calymenia Nutt." (authority actually Persoon), Magnoliopsida, however Kallymenia is generally accepted. Illegitimately resurrected as a genus by Saunders et al., 2017, with a different type; the latter now Croisettea M.J. Wynne, 2018. [details]
