Taxonomic remark Junior homonym of Hormococcus Preuss, 1852 (Fungi: Ascomycota). In AlgaeBase (2021 version) the genus is given as a synonym of Ulothrix, apparently in error, although the type species, H. flaccidus (Kützing) Chodat 1902 is correctly placed in Klebsormidium. [details]
