Taxonomic remark A superfluous name and homotypic synonym of Moellerina E.O. Ulrich 1886 according to Index Nominum Genericorum, following Peck & Morales (1966), and proposed for conservation over Moellerina by Samoilova, 1985, however Grambast-Fessard et al., 1989 contend that the two genera are distinct taxa and it is used as an accepted name in Feist et al., 2005, who also separate as a different family (Moellerinaceae cf. Trochiliscaceae). [details]
