Taxonomic remark Listed in Palynodata with 2 species, E. gilsonii and E. micraster [?type]; E. micraster described from Recent sediments per original work. Possibly a hystrichosphere (=dinocyst), per Deflandre & Deflandre-Rigaud, 1965, Remarques critiques ser le genre Micrhystridium Defl. (not seen); not listed in Dinoflaj3 so additional details presently lacking. E. gilsonii (?=Micrhystridium gilsonii) apparently cited in Fensome, R.A., 1990. Acritarchs and fossil prasinophytes: an index to genera, species and infraspecific taxa. (not seen). Williams, 2012 lists a single fossil species, E. majus. [details]
