Taxonomic remark Not validly published: no generic description or diagnosis, only 2 species described. (Index Nominum Genericorum). Treated as an accepted taxon in Novikoff & Barabasz-Krasny, 2015 (with incorrect authority), and in some literature sources, however by the time it was later validly published by Ignatiev, 2001, the next published name Samarospadix M.F. Neuburg, 1948 has precedence, and also it was illegitimate, being now preoccupied by Krylovia B.K. Schischkin in P.N. Krylov, 1949 in extant Asteraceae, refer Doweld, 2018. [details]
