Taxonomic remark See Umbellina Loeblich & Tappan 1961 (Nomen. Zool.). Originally considered a foraminifer (zoology), where the name is a junior homonym, currently a fossil charophyte (botany), where the name is not preoccupied. Doweld (2014) suggests validating the name Umbellina in botany for consistency across Codes. [details]
