Taxonomic remark Nom. cons. vs. Danaeopsis K. B. Presl, 1845 (Index Nominum Genericorum). Zijlstra et al., 2010 proposed to conserve Danaeopsis Heer ex Schimp. against its senior synonym Marantoidea and its earlier homonym Danaeopsis C. Presl (Recent Pteridophyta), a proposal that was recommended for acceptance by the Nomenclature Committee for Fossil Plants (Herendeen, 2011). [details]
