Taxonomic remark AlgaeBase (2021 version) lists this genus in Stylococcaceae (Hibberdiales), as a synonym of Stephanoporos, apparently in error since the latter is a superfluous substitute name for a similarly named but different taxon (Chrysotheca Scherfel 1927, non Chrysotheka Doflein 1923) whose current name is in fact Chrysothecopsis Conrad 1931.
