Taxonomic remark According to Taylor et al., 2009, this is currently the correct name for the genus previously known as Calamodendron. Doweld, 2013, published a proposal to conserve the latter name over Calamitea, but this proposal was not accepted by the Nomenclature Committee on Fossils (Herendeen, 2016). [details]
