Taxonomic remark Originally described as Dipluran, also type genus of fam. Ocelliidae Ewing, 1942, but reassigned to Dermaptera and considered a nomen dubium by Engel & Haas, 2007. Considered by latter authors to be possibly in fam. Forficulidae, Labiduridae or Pygidicranidae, but awaiting restudy. [details]
