The same authors considered this name a synonym of Trochiliscus, a contention supported by Samoilova, 1985 who proposed Trochiliscus for conservation over Moellerina, but rejected by Grambast‐Fessard et al., 1989 and successors, who maintain the two genera as separate. [details]
