Taxonomic remark Originally described as a phyllopod Crustacean. Rolfe, 1969 lists as syn. of Discinocaris (Discinarididae), however according to Mironenko, 2021, Aspidocaris is an ammonoid anaptychus, also stratigraphically distinct (Triassic not Silurian). [details]
