Taxonomic remark Walker, 1854 published 2 instances of the genus name Erchia (with different type species) in the same work on the same day (on pages 321 and 357), the latter (not this taxon) now treated as a honomym of the former according to the actions of the first reviser, and subsequently replaced by Pseuderchia Kirby, now treated as a Riodinid butterfly, not a moth, and synonym of Melanis Hübner, refer LepIndex entry for Pseuderchia.
