original description
(of Tricladia Mercet, 1918) Bol. Soc. Españ. Hist. Nat., 18 page(s): 430 [details]
Unreviewed
Taxonomic remark Tricnemus was proposed by Mercet, 1921 as a replacement name for Tricladia Mercet, 1918, on the stated grounds that the latter name was a homonym of Tricladus Enderlein, 1906 in Psocoptera, however this is not the case (the names are not identical). However, Tricladia Mercet, 1918 is preoccupied by Tricladia Felder, 1874 in Lepidoptera, so Tricnemus stands as a valid replacement name for this reason. [details]
