Taxonomic remark Vol. 2 of König's work was not published at this time; first valid publication (of König's unpublished name) was by Bronn, 1839, refer Lamsdell & Clapham, 2021. Year also given (as accepted name, incorrectly) as 1820, in Størmer, 1955, in Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology. Bellinurus Pictet, 1846 is a subsequent misspelling, attributed in Neave to Meek & Worthen, 1865. [details]
