Taxonomic remark Murphy et al., 1976 include Actinolepis as a syn. of Astrolepis (Asterolepis) in fam. Asterolepididae, however according to other recent papers e.g. Newman & Trewin, 2008, Actinolepis is a valid genus and is the type of its own family Actinolepididae. [details]
