Taxonomic remark Özdikmen, 2009 proposed to replace Fentonia D.A. Bailey & N.M. Hogg with the new name Neofentonia on the grounds that it was preoccupied by Fentonia Butler, 1881 (zoology: Lepidoptera), however the latter does not compete since Fentonia D.A. Bailey & N.M. Hogg was described as an acritarch and is under the botanical Code (ICN), not the zoological Code (Protozoa: Dinoflagellida) as stated by Özdikmen. [details]
