Descriptive info Lower Carboniferous; (Hardrow Scar, Yorkshire). (Index Nominum Genericorum) [details]
Taxonomic remark Nanopora Alan Wood, Palaeontology 7: 181. 21 Jul 1964 (invalid ICBN Art. 37). (Index Nominum Genericorum). The name is invalid according to ING (no type species designated), but is in use in the literature. The name was repeated in Andrews, Generic Names of Fossil Plants (ING has a second entry for this as "Nanopora Alan Wood ex H. N. Andrews Jr., Bull. U. S. Geol. Surv. 1300: 138. 1970", again without explicit type designation and thus not a valid publication. [details]
