Taxonomic remark Authority given in Nomen. Zool. as Gronovius, 1763. Unavailable name (included in a rejected work, refer ICZN Index). Apparently not available, published in a rejected work (Opinions 89 and 261). According to Fowler (MS), the correct genus is Dichistius Gill 1888, a replacement for Dipterodon Cuvier, preoccupied; family should be Dichistiidae. Fowler's treatment is similar to that of J.L.B. Smith 1935, but not J.L.B. Smith 1945 where Coracinus is used. (Eschmeyer). [details]
