Taxonomic remark From Wang et al., 2016: Wania chowi was based on two fragments of a left maxilla and a pair of lower jaws of the same individual (Wang, 1995). It was originally referred to the family Zhelestidae in the order Mixotheridia, but Nessov et al. (1998) argued that Wania chowi "is not a zhelestid but may have anagalidan affinities." Because determination of its phylogenetic position requires further study, Wania chowi is temporarily classified as Order and Family indeterminate (Wang et al., 1998). [details]
