Taxonomic remark On https://www.birdforum.net/threads/bow-key.390673/page-5, a contributor (James Jobling) states that "Anais clemenciae Lesson 1840 [= type species] is unidentifiable, probably an artefact (and is so treated in the Key MS.)." Zoonomen (Richmond Index - birds) also has a reference by Sharpe, 1878, suggesting that the bird may not exist ("a manufactured bird"). Not Anais Bonaparte, 1854 (also Aves), a nomen nudum in Trochilidae, nor Anais Lesson, 1843, a ctenophore. [details]
