Taxonomic remark This name is listed as Pisces in Nomenclator Zoologicus, and considered (?on that basis) to be a senior homonym of Anthocyrtis Ehrenberg, 1847, MonatsBer. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1847, 54 in Radiolaria, the latter then requiring a new name, according to Loeblich & Tappan,1961 (they suggest the next available name, Anthocyrtella Haeckel, 1887), However inspection of the original cited work via https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/11056090 shows that this name is in Radiolaria, not Pisces, and can be considered a nomen nudum (listing in table), cf. the valid publication in MonatsBer. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1847, 54. [details]
