Taxonomic remark Placed in family Theoperidae in radiolaria@microtax (2020 version); alternative placement: Anthocyrtidae. Stated by Loeblich & Tappan, 1961 to be a junior homonym of Anthocyrtis Ehrenberg, 1847, Ber. Verh. preuss. Akad. Wiss., 1846, Tab. p. 385 in Pisces, with the recommendation that the next available name for use for this taxon is Anthocyrtella Haeckel, 1887, however the "Pisces" reference appears to be the same as this taxon in Radiolaria on inspection of the original work (as a nomen nudum).
