Taxonomic remark as subgen. of Histricostoma (Hallan, 2000-). Authorship given as Kratochvíl & Miller, 1958 by both Nomenclator Zoologicus and Hallan, however according to Schönhofer, 2013 (Zootaxa 3679) and confirmed in Kury et al., 2023, although Kratochvíl & Miller wrote the preface to the cited work, the new taxa were authored by Kratochvíl alone.
