Taxonomic remark From Mourer-Chauviré et al., 2017: ... Cerestenia Mayr, 2000b, with the species pulchrapenna Mayr, 2000b, was originally described together with the genus Turnipax, and tentatively included in the family Turnipacidae. It also comes from the early Oligocene of France. Turnipax was later placed in the family Turnicidae, but the holotype of Cerestenia pulchrapenna is poorly preserved and it is not possible to tell whether it is also a member of the Turnicidae (Mayr & Knopf, 2007, p. 782).
