Kaup provides a description from Bleeker, and states (p. 63), ".leaves me in no doubt of this species being the type of a genus hitherto undescribed." Kaup's heading "Genus novem, 5. Doryrhamphinarum" is regarded here as meaning of the family Doryrhamphidae, without proposal of a new genus. (refer Eschmeyer). [details]
