Taxonomic remark In his original work, Krammer described "Pseudencyonema Krammer nov. gen." with "Pseudoencyonema rossii" as its single included species. Both spellings for the genus name can be found in the literature; Pseudencyonema is the spelling used as correct in Index Nominum Genericorum and in IRMNG at this time, while Fourtanier & Kociolek, 1999 use Pseudencyonema. AlgaeBase (2021 version) has both "Pseudencyonema" and "Pseudoencyonema" listed for the same taxon in different places. [details]
