Taxonomic remark From Simon & Mottequin, 2018: The tentative inclusion of Simplicithyris in the same family [as Jagtithyris and Leptothyrellopsis. namely Jagtithyrididae] requires further discussion. [Simplicithyris] is a western boreal Pacific species and the large stratigraphical gap between late Cretaceous and extant material could lead to erect a new family for Simplicithyris. [details]
