Unverified
Taxonomic remark Invalid according to Philippe, 2011. Original spelling: Araucaroxylon. A homotypic synonym of Pitys H.T.M. Witham 1833 (nom. & orth. cons.) and Pissadendron Endlicher 1842 according to Index Nominum Genericorum. This name has been incorrectly used extensively for fossil "Araucaria" type woods which should correctly be called Agathoxylon Hartig, 1848, refer Rößler et al., 2014. [details]
