Taxonomic remark n.n. pro Cryptaulax Skuja 1948 nec Tate 1869 (Mollusca), Nec Cameron 1906 (Hymenoptera) (Nomen. Zool.). Cryptaulax Skuja is preoccupied in zoology (where the taxon is presently classified) although not in botany (for those who previously considered this an algal genus in Cryptophyceae). Unfortunately, Cryptaulaxoides is itself preoccupied by Cryptaulaxoides Uchida, 1940 in Hymenoptera, but appears to be presently unreplaced. [details]
