Taxonomic remark Čepička et al., 2016 (in "Handbook of the Protists") use Joeniidae as the single family name for all 38 genera in order Cristamonadida (including both Devescovina and Joenia), a practice also followed in Singh et al., 2021. However Cavalier-Smith, 2013 uses Devescovinidae as the family name for the same group. Since Devescovinidae (1911) appears to have priority over Joeniidae (1915) when type genera of both families are included together, Cavalier-Smith's treatment would therefore appear correct.
