Taxonomic remark Non Rhizomastigidae Calkins, 1901 + other authors, a nomen nudum according to Ptáčková et al. Cavalier-Smith's "Rhizomastigidae" post-dates Ptáčková et al.'s "Rhizomastixidae" by 3 months in the print version (August 2013 vs. May 2013), even though it appeared online first (December 2012 vs. January 2013); since the names/works were not registered in ZooBank at the time of the online versions, those do not count for nomenclatural purposes. According to ICZN Code article 29.4, both spellings are correctly formed, so that first published takes precedence. [details]
