Taxonomic remark Proposed in botany as a replacement name for Reticulariaceae (type genus of the latter was considered a junior homonym in botany, refer Farr, 1982), however has proved not to be so on the basis of a revised publication date for Reticularia Bull., thus in botany Reticulariaceae is the current name. In zoology, forms the basis for the currently accepted name Enteridiidae, since Reticulariidae and also another option, Tubiferidae, are currently used for families in other groups (fossil brachiopods and gastropods, respectively).
