Taxonomic remark See Dolichisme Kirkaldy 1904. (Nomen. Zool.). This name was previously believed to be a junior homonym of Tetrisia Walker, 1867, J. Linn. Soc. London, Zool., 9, 1868, 186, in Lepidoptera, and was replaced by Dolichisme Kirkaldy 1904, however according to Waldkircher et al., 2004, the hemipteran name was published first, making this name the validly published one, the lepidopteran the junior homonym, and Dolichisme a superfluous replacement name.
