Taxonomic remark Published as a "descriptive" replacement name for Phyllocladidites, refer Cookson, 1953, although the latter is validly published and apparently has priority. In use in some sections of the current palynolological literature, although most e.g. Vallati et al., 2016, continue to refer to (e.g.) Phyllocladidites mawsonii in place of the replacement name Dacrydiumites mawsonii as proposed by Cookson.
