Nomenclatural status In his original publication, Malloch used both Neodeceia and Neodecia. because of ICZN Article 24.2.4, Malloch 1926 is automatically the first reviser even though it is reasonable to assume that the spelling was always intended to be Neodeceia. Also the modern literature overwhelmingly favors Neodeceia, prevailing usage can only ever apply to an incorrect subsequent spelling, not an incorrrect original one. [details]
