Taxonomic remark From Leontyev et al., 2019: With a capillitium forming a much-branched dendroid-like structure similar to what is found in the Lamprodermataceae but with a stalk and columella filled with lime crystals, this genus seems to be a missing link between the families Lamprodermataceae and Didymiaceae. In the phylogeny of Fiore-Donno et al. (2012) it appears as sister to the Diderma clade. In our phylogeny it forms one of the weakly supported basal clades of the Physarales. [details]
