Taxonomic remark This published name is spelled Deinamoeba in Nomenclator Zoologicus, with the name Dinamoeba given as an error from 1875, however current workers consider the spelling Dinamoeba to be correct, dating from this 1874 work (possibly a corrected original spelling; original work not seen). Treated as a synonym of Mastigamoeba Schulze, 1875 by current workers even though Leidy's name appeared a year earlier, refer Chystyakova et al., 2012. [details]
